Bihar: Boat Carrying Devotees Capsizes In Ganga River In Barh, 6 Missing

Patna: In a tragic incident on Sunday, a boat carrying 17 devotees capsized in the Ganga River near Bihar’s Barh area, close to Patna. According to officials, the boat was en route from Umanath Ghat to Diara when it overturned.

While 11 people have been rescued and are safe, six individuals remain missing, prompting an urgent search and rescue operation by local authorities.

Shubham Kumar, Barh SDM, said, “A small boat capsized here. There were 17 people on the boat, out of which 11 are safe, and 6 are missing. The SDRF team has left, they are about to reach here. The search operation is on.”
