Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) on Monday announced its new organisational team under party president Nitin Nabin, bringing in several new faces while retaining experienced leaders and giving significant representation to women.
BL Santosh will continue as National General Secretary (Organisation), while former Union minister Smriti Irani, former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Sunil Bansal, Vinod Tawde, Gajendra Patel, Satish Poonia, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia have been appointed National General Secretaries.
The party named 13 National Vice Presidents, including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav and Baijayant Panda. Six of the 13 vice presidents are women.
The BJP also appointed 16 National Secretaries, including Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Bhola Singh, Pradip Varma, Phangnon Konyak and Anil Antony.
Piyush Goyal will continue as National Treasurer, while Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh has been appointed Central Office In-charge.
Anil Baluni will continue as Media Convenor, with Ashish Usha Agrawal, Pradeep Bhandari and Siddharth Yadav as co-convenors. Deepak Mhaskey has been appointed Social Media Convenor.
The new team comes nearly six months after Nabin took charge as BJP president and will face a major electoral test in 2027, when several states, including Uttar Pradesh, are scheduled to go to polls.
