Srinagar: A bus accident in Srinagar claimed the lives of 10 pilgrims and left several others injured on Sunday. The bus was reportedly attacked by the terrorists and plunged into a gorge in Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
The pilgrims were on their way to the cave temple of Shivkhodi. The bus was severely damaged from the accident and the bodies of the deceased lay scattered at the accident side.
Visuals that came from the spot showed locals assisting in rescue operations as ambulances stood on the side of the road for immediate assistance. As per the news agency PTI, the police said reinforcements from the army, police and paramilitary forces were rushed to the spot.
