The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of ongoing heavy rainfall in the region, advising locals to stay indoors and avoid visiting affected regions. This year’s monsoon season has produced exceptional rainfall, increasing the risk of natural disasters such as landslides and flash floods in the high terrains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The cloudburst has also caused landslides, obstructing major routes and isolating distant villages from basic amenities.
