New Delhi: Amid the recent spike in the number of COVID-related cases, India reported 5,676 new cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
According to the data, the active caseload in the country stands at 37,093 in the last 24 hours. Active cases stand at 0.08%
The country recorded a total of 3,761 recoveries, taking the total recoveries to 4,42,00,079.
The weekly positivity rate stood at 3.81 per cent.
A total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far amid the ongoing vaccination drive in the country.

Amid the surge, Mumbai has mandated the wearing of masks for staff working in the hospitals as a precautionary measure.
Earlier on Monday, a total of 5,880 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in India.
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) urged citizens not to panic amid the rising cases of COVID across the country and advised people to maintain hygiene.
