Amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions following the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport issued a late-night advisory on Sunday, urging passengers to remain alert and follow official updates.
The advisory, issued at 11:17 PM, confirmed that while airport operations remain normal, some flight schedules may face disruptions due to evolving airspace conditions and tightened security directives from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
“Passengers are advised to stay informed through their respective airlines, adhere to baggage rules, and arrive early to accommodate longer processing times at security checkpoints,” the Delhi airport authority said in a statement.
Officials noted that increased security protocols are in place as a precautionary measure amid the regional tension, and that cooperation from passengers is crucial for ensuring smooth operations. Travelers have been asked to avoid relying on unverified information and to check the status of their flights only through airline communication or the airport’s official website.
