To facilitate access to the ceremony, individuals holding a bonafide Invitation Card issued by the Ministry of Defence will be permitted entry and travel upon presenting a valid government-issued photo ID at metro stations.
This special arrangement allows for exit only at the Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Chandni Chowk stations, the closest to the event venue. The same Invitation Cards will also be valid for return journeys from these three stations. DMRC confirmed that the Ministry of Defence will reimburse the cost of travel for these passengers. Regular announcements will be made inside the trains to inform passengers about these special arrangements.
Meanwhile, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, alongside Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Kiren Rijiju, and Mansukh Mandaviya, flagged off a bike rally under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign from Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.
Vice President Dhankhar emphasized the significance of the campaign, which is part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative, stating that it reflects India’s independence, pride, and commitment to becoming a developed nation. He highlighted India’s rapid progress towards becoming a global superpower, currently ranking as the 5th largest economy in the world.
