New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah on Wednesday and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations during his official visit.
Jaishankar, who is on a multi-nation tour covering Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, the United States and Belgium, was received in Kuwait by Deputy Foreign Minister Hamad Suleiman Mashaan Al-Mashaan.

Before arriving in Kuwait, Jaishankar visited Bahrain, where he met King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation, reviewing bilateral ties and exchanging views on regional and global developments. Jaishankar also congratulated Bahrain on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2026-27 term.
