New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa on Tuesday to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation between India and Bahrain across multiple sectors. The two leaders also exchanged views on the regional situation.
Sharing details on X, Jaishankar said, “A pleasure to meet Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain H.E Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa this morning. Discussed taking forward our bilateral cooperation across various sectors. Also exchanged views on the regional situation.”

A day earlier, Jaishankar also met Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and held talks on expanding bilateral cooperation while appreciating Bahrain’s support for the well-being of the Indian community.
Before arriving in Bahrain, Jaishankar visited Qatar, where he met Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. Their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in energy, trade, investments, connectivity, security and people-to-people ties.
Jaishankar is currently on a multi-nation visit covering Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, the United States and Belgium. The tour aims to enhance bilateral ties and discuss regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
