New Delhi: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway, Nitin Gadkari announced plans to create an electric highway connecting Delhi and Jaipur.
During his address at the 20th Indo-US Economic Summit, Gadkari stated that the government intends to introduce buses equipped with luxurious facilities, offering passengers a level of comfort akin to that experienced in aviation class. He further said that the fares for these buses would be substantially lower, less than 30% compared to diesel buses. These electric buses are anticipated to complete the journey between Jaipur and Delhi in approximately two hours and 50 minutes.
The Union Minister also said that the Indo-US economic summit holds substantial potential for both nations to collaborate on new joint ventures. He said the opportunity for India and the US to engage in technology sharing, contributing to the development of both countries.
Gadkari also presented the 7th Business Leadership Awards during the event.
