New Delhi: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from Nandyal district on Saturday in connection with an alleged corruption case.
He stands accused in an alleged ₹550 crore Skill Development scam, following a high-tension, five-hour-long operation. Mr. Naidu, identified as accused number 1 in this case, has sought additional information about the FIR and called for prima facie evidence, highlighting that his name was not explicitly mentioned in the initial report.
Charges against the former Andhra Pradesh CM include criminal conspiracy, cheating, and dishonestly inducing property delivery.
