Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau in Washington. The meeting, held at the State Department, focused on reinforcing cooperation as both nations assess the evolving security situation in the Persian Gulf and other global priorities.

According to the US State Department, both sides reaffirmed their strong partnership and exchanged views on regional and international developments. During his visit, Misri also held discussions with Jacob Helberg on expanding technology collaboration, including semiconductors, critical minerals, quantum, artificial intelligence, and nuclear energy under the Pax Silica initiative.
The Foreign Secretary further met FBI Director Kash Patel to enhance counterterrorism cooperation. Talks with Allison Hooker covered defence, security, and economic coordination. He also engaged with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, focusing on trade, defence, and the Quad ahead of Rubio’s upcoming India visit.
At the Pentagon, Misri held key meetings with Elbridge Colby and Mike Duffey to advance defence ties, technology sharing, and supply chain integration under the Major Defence Partnership framework.
The visit highlights continued momentum in India-US relations across strategic, economic, and security domains.
