Former Civil Servant CV Ananda Bose Appointed As Governor Of West Bengal

New Delhi: Former civil servant CV Ananda Bose has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal on Thursday.

In a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the President of India, Ajay Kumar Singh said, “The President of India is pleased to appoint Dr. CV Ananda Bose as regular governor of West Bengal.”

The statement further added that “the above appointment will be in effect from the date he assumes charges of his office.”

Dr. CV Ananda Bose was the first-ever fellow of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie. He has published over 40 books in different languages like English, Malayalam, and Hindi, ranging from novels to short stories and poems.

Governor of Manipur LA Ganesan has been holding the additional charge of West Bengal since the month July after the former Governor Jagdeep Dhankar became India’s Vice President.
