New DelhiL: A four-storey building collapsed in Delhi’s Rohini Sector 16 on Wednesday evening, prompting a large-scale rescue operation amid fears that several people could be trapped beneath the debris.

According to initial information, the building was old and was undergoing construction or renovation work when it suddenly collapsed. The exact reason behind the incident has not yet been determined.
The Delhi Fire Service received the alert at around 4:20 pm and immediately dispatched four fire tenders to the location. Firefighters and emergency response teams are carrying out search and rescue operations to locate anyone who may be trapped.
Police and civic officials have also reached the site to support the rescue efforts and ensure the area remains secure.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of people trapped or reported any casualties. More information on the cause of the collapse, the condition of those feared trapped, and the extent of the damage is still awaited.
