From Study Buddy To Party Planner: How AI Has Made Life Easy For Us!

Date:

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, previously claimed that Indian tech companies would struggle to compete with their counterparts in the developed world in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

However, people across India, regardless of age, are increasingly integrating AI into their daily lives. With smartphones becoming more common and many high-end models offering built-in AI tools, the adoption of AI is growing rapidly.

NewsMobile spoke to individuals from different age groups across India to understand how AI is being used. Here’s a look at some of the ways AI is being incorporated into daily routines:

For Students: AI as a Study Buddy

AI is proving to be an essential academic tool for students.

Preeti Dahiya, a 22-year-old MA History student at Mumbai University, says, “ChatGPT has greatly improved my research and academic tasks, helping me organize assignments, papers, and deadlines. I also use Quillbot to rephrase content and Google Gemini for deeper insights.”

Anshika Sindhwani, a 16-year-old student from Kolkata, finds AI surprisingly versatile. “It helps me clarify complex concepts, summarize long topics, and practice exam questions. AI often provides explanations that textbooks and even teachers sometimes miss.”

For Parents: Party Planning, Recipes

For many parents, AI makes decision-making easier. Radhika Kalsekar, 32, from Mumbai, uses AI for various tasks like organizing baby announcements and planning birthday parties. “AI saves me time and helps me make confident choices,” she says.

New mother Rakshita, 25, from Uttarakhand, says AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini help her manage her baby’s care, find recipes, and organize her routine. “AI has made motherhood much easier and more efficient,” she adds.

For Seniors: Adopting Technology with Ease

Seniors like 78-year-old Sitarani from Gorakhpur have embraced AI for reminders, entertainment, and other tasks.

“AI helps me remember medications, set up TV recordings, and even tell jokes,” she shares. Similarly, 84-year-old Reema Banerjee from Hooghly uses ChatGPT to search for devotional songs and other information.

For Homemakers: Using AI for Daily Tasks

Homemakers are using AI for everything from meal preps to entertainment. Anita G, 50, from Uttar Pradesh, relies on AI for recipe suggestions and even fitness routines.

Keerti Bapat, 54, from Jharkhand, uses AI to plan meals, track family dietary preferences, and organize family birthdays. “It’s a reliable assistant that understands my daily challenges,” she says.

For Retirees: Staying Active with AI

Sumit Srivastava, 65, a retired employee from the Indian Railways in Uttar Pradesh, says that AI tools like ChatGPT have kept him engaged and active after retirement.

For Entrepreneurs: Growing Businesses with AI

Anish Biswas, 37, from Kolkata, uses over 10 AI tools for his startup, including an AI-powered matchmaking system for startups and investors.

“AI has changed my business,” he says, mentioning tools like Dall-E for image searches and Code Copilot for coding help.

For Corporate Professionals: Enhancing Work Efficiency

Chhavi Mittal, 23, a private sector employee from Uttarakhand, uses AI tools like Grammarly, QuillBot, and Microsoft Designer to streamline tasks and automate processes.

“AI makes my work more efficient, allowing me to focus on creativity and strategy,” she says.

In all these cases, AI is becoming an important tool for efficiency, learning, and improving daily life across various groups in India.
