Apple users in India have been warned about multiple security vulnerabilities affecting a wide range of the company’s devices and software.
The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, issued its advisory on September 21 following Apple’s recent security updates.
The warning covers iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, Apple TVs, Vision Pro and Safari. According to the advisory, the vulnerabilities could potentially allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, access sensitive information, bypass security measures, trigger denial-of-service conditions or disrupt targeted devices.
“Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Apple Products, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code, or cause denial of service (DoS) conditions on the targeted systems,” the advisory said.
CERT-In said the issues involve different parts of Apple’s software, including memory corruption, authentication, permissions and input validation. Affected software includes older versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, macOS Sequoia, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, Safari and Xcode.
Apple released major software updates on September 14, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate 27, which also included security fixes.
CERT-In warned that successful exploitation could result in data theft, unauthorised access, service disruption or complete system compromise. Users are advised to update their software.
