In a significant operation, the Indian Army’s special forces and the Jammu and Kashmir Police eliminated three terrorists in an intense operation in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur on Wednesday.
The operation involved elite units from the army’s 1 Para, 22 Garhwal Rifles, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the J&K Police.
According to officials, as reported in the media, the terrorists opened fire on personnel, prompting retaliation by the security forces.
This soon comes after a Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was injured after personnel from the Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector.
