Gurugram: Gurugram authorities have advised corporate offices to allow employees to work from home on Tuesday, August 25, following heavy rainfall, widespread waterlogging and traffic disruptions across the city.

In view of the heavy rainfall in Gurugram on 24 August 2026, there is a possibility of waterlogging and traffic congestion at various locations across the district.

The advisory was issued by the District Disaster Management Authority to reduce traffic congestion and help civic agencies carry out road and drainage repair work.
Gurugram received around 70 mm of rain by 1:30 pm on Monday. Several areas, including Rajiv Chowk, IFFCO Chowk, Narsinghpur, Hero Honda Chowk, Railway Road, Sector 5, Old Delhi Road, Mehrauli Road and Basai Road, were affected by waterlogging.

The Naharpur underpass was also flooded, while traffic moved slowly across several routes.
Commuters were seen navigating waterlogged roads, with major disruptions reported around Sadar Bazar, Gurdwara Road and Old Delhi Road. School buses and ambulances were also caught in waterlogging on Sohna Road.
The administration has also asked schools to shift classes online on Tuesday.
