New Delhi: India has strongly condemned an Iranian attack on the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone in the United Arab Emirates, which injured three Indian nationals, amid rising US-Iran tensions.
The Ministry of External Affairs called the incident “unacceptable” and demanded an immediate end to hostilities targeting civilians and critical infrastructure.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on X that India continues to support dialogue and diplomacy to restore peace and stability in the Middle East. He also urged free and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in line with international law and said India stands ready to assist peaceful resolution efforts.

The UAE Defence Ministry said its air defences intercepted 15 missiles and four drones launched by Iran. Officials in Fujairah reported that one drone strike caused a fire at the emirate’s largest oil facility, injuring the three Indian workers.
The British military also reported two cargo ships catching fire near UAE waters.
Iran neither confirmed nor denied responsibility. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on X that the US and UAE should avoid being drawn into escalation. Iranian state media quoted a military official claiming there was “no plan” to target UAE sites and suggested the incident was linked to US actions concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
