A Mumbai-Varanasi IndiGo flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar airport on Sunday night after an elderly passenger onboard passed away. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when 89-year-old Sushila Devi, a resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, began experiencing health complications mid-flight.
Concerned crew members and fellow passengers quickly alerted the flight staff, prompting the pilot to divert the aircraft to Chikalthana Airport for urgent medical assistance. However, upon landing, medical professionals who examined the passenger confirmed that she had already succumbed.
