Sharing details of the meeting on social media platform X, Jaishankar said he was pleased to welcome the Greek Defence Minister and described the interaction as an in-depth exchange covering key strategic and security concerns. He appreciated Dendias’s insights and assessments on regional and global matters.
Nikos Dendias also expressed gratitude for the warm reception, stating that he was honoured to be invited to Jaishankar’s residence during his official visit to India. He described the talks as cordial and meaningful, with discussions touching upon important regional and international developments.
The visit comes just weeks after the signing of the India–European Union Free Trade Agreement. Referring to recent trade developments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is actively signing future-ready trade deals with several countries. He noted that agreements with the European Union and the United States have boosted global confidence and are being widely praised.
PM Modi added that India is increasingly seen as a trusted global partner, contributing to stability and the overall welfare of the world.
