There is some good news for spouses of those on H1B visa in the United States. The Joe Biden administration has revoked the Donald Trump era’s rule of preventing work permits for H4 visa holders. H4 visa holders are spouses of H1B visa holders who happen to be primarily women with a lot of them being Indians. Most of those on the H1B visa are IT professionals and most are sent by their employees from India and China.
Issued by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to immediate family members which include spouses and children under the age of 21, H4 visa are normally issued to those who have already started the process of seeking employment-based lawful permanent resident status in the US.

The Trump administration wanted to rescind the rule but was unable to complete the process during his four year rule. Biden had promised to withdraw the Trump administration’s move which his administration has proved by implementing their campaign promise.
