JP Nadda Accuses Opposition of Disrupting Parliament, Invites Debate

Date:

New Delhi: BJP president and Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha, J.P. Nadda, on Wednesday accused the Opposition of repeatedly disrupting Parliament and asserted that the Narendra Modi-led government is prepared to discuss every issue on the floor of the House.

Addressing the media, Nadda said Parliament is the appropriate forum for debating public concerns and urged Opposition parties to participate in meaningful discussions instead of creating disruptions.

He maintained that the government is willing to hold both short- and long-duration debates, leaving the duration to the Opposition, and is ready to respond to all issues raised.

Referring to the paper leak issue, Nadda said it should not be politicised and called for a comprehensive discussion to identify the reasons behind repeated leaks, examine those responsible and frame an effective policy to prevent such incidents in the future.

He also said the government would investigate all reported cases and place the facts before the public.

The BJP leader criticised the Opposition for seeking political mileage from the issue and urged all parties to work together to find a lasting solution, reiterating that the Modi government remains committed to discussing every matter in Parliament.
