Man held with 3 kgs of opium

Fatehgarh Sahib, Aug 20 (PTI) Three kgs of opium wasrecovered from a man arrested here, police said today. Fatehgarh Sahib Senior SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullarinformed that during checking of vehicles near minor canal ofvillage Bulara on August 19, a police team arrested amotorcyclist Amrik Singh, a resident of village Kalemajra(Bassi Pathana) and recovered 3 kgs opium from his possession. A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registeredagainst the accused. The SSP said during interrogation the accused told thepolice that he used to supply opium in Bassi Pathana, ChunniKalan, Khamano, Fatehgarh Sahib and surrounding areas. PTICORR CHSKUN
