Massive Fire Engulfs Gurugram’s Kingdom of Dreams, No Casualties Reported

Date:

Gurugram: A devastating fire broke out at Kingdom of Dreams, one of Gurugram’s most renowned entertainment venues, on Thursday, leaving significant parts of the structure reduced to ashes. The fire erupted in Sector 29, with thick black smoke covering the city’s skyline as firefighters rushed to the scene.

According to officials, the venue had been sealed for nearly three years due to unpaid dues, which fortunately meant that no casualties were reported. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage.

The Haryana Fire and Emergency Services received an emergency call at 6:50 AM, but by the time firefighters arrived, much of the structure had already been consumed by flames.

Deputy Director (Technical) Gulshan Kalra stated that an initial team of six firefighting vehicles from the Sector 29 fire station was deployed, with reinforcements from Udyog Vihar, Bhim Nagar, Sector 37, and IMT Manesar joining the operation. After a three-hour-long battle, firefighters finally managed to bring the blaze under control.

This is not the first fire-related incident at the Kingdom of Dreams. In July 2023, a similar fire broke out in the basement, raising concerns about the safety of the structure.

Once a prime entertainment hub showcasing cultural performances, musical extravaganzas, and Bollywood-themed experiences, Kingdom of Dreams has remained closed for nearly three years due to financial and operational challenges.
