Mihir Shah, the main accused in the Mumbai Hit-And-Run case has been interrogated by the police today along with his driver.
The police also recreated the sequence of events to understand what exactly happened at the accident site.
After questioning by the police, both the accused, Mihir Shah and his driver Rajshri Bidawat haved reportedly confessed to their roles in the crime.
24-year-old Mihir Shah was arrested from Virar on Tuesday. He was brought to Sewri court in Mumbai on Wednesday. Shah was on the run after the car he was allegedly driving hit a scooter on Dr Annie Besant Road in Worli on Sunday, July 7.
However, Shah and his driver claimed that they did not know the woman was stuck under the car as they drove away after hitting the two wheeler.
The BMW, driven by Mr. Shah, the son of ousted Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah, struck the scooter and fled, striking Kaveri Nakva and her husband Pradik Nakva.
The BMW that Mr. Shah was driving struck the couple’s two-wheeler as he was coming home from the pub. In addition, the management of the pub has accused him of giving them a fictitious identity card, which purports to show his age as 27 while, in reality, he is just 23.
