To be eligible for counselling, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying criteria. According to 2024 standards, the cut-off percentile for the General category was 50%, while the cut-off percentile for the OBC, SC, and ST categories was 40%. For candidates in the General-PwD category, the qualifying mark was 45%. These percentiles are calculated based on the highest marks obtained in the exam and may vary each year depending on overall performance trends.
Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the centralised counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the All India Quota, as well as state-level counselling rounds for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy), and other undergraduate medical programs.
Candidates are strongly advised to download and safely store their scorecard, as it will be required during the counselling and admission process. With results now live, students should keep checking the official NEET website for updates on the next steps in the admission process.
