Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday celebrated the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance’s sweeping victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections, terming it a decisive rejection of “negative and dynastic politics.”
Addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters, he praised the alliance’s triumph as a win for development, good governance, and social justice, signaling a stronger resolve for a developed India.

“Today negative politics has been defeated. Today ‘Parivarvad’ have been defeated. Today Maharashtra has strengthened the resolve for a developed India. I congratulate all the workers of BJP and NDA across the country,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister credited Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, for their leadership in securing the alliance’s success. He also reiterated the slogan “Ek hain toh safe hain,” which he had championed during the campaign, stating it has become the “mantra” of the nation.

The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance delivered a resounding performance in the 288-member Maharashtra assembly, with the BJP winning or leading in 132 seats, the Shiv Sena faction under Eknath Shinde in 57 seats, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction poised to secure 41 seats.
Reflecting on the broader electoral landscape, PM Modi noted the BJP’s growing strength across the country, citing bypoll victories in 48 assembly constituencies and two Lok Sabha seats spread over 15 states.
