An explosion at the S N Banerjee Road In central Kolkata on Saturday injured one person. The blast occurred near the intersection of Blochmann Street and SN Banerjee Road, officials reported.

The victim was found near the site of the explosion and was immediately rushed to NRS Medical College and Hospital.
Following the blast, personnel from Taltala Police Station quickly secured the area. A suspicious plastic gunny bag was discovered at the entry point of Blochmann Street, prompting the deployment of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) to investigate further.
