Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday credited India’s growing technological advancements and the Make in India programme for the success of Operation Sindoor. Speaking at an event- Next Gen Mobility for Next Gen City in Bengaluru, he said the operation was an example of the country’s home grown defence capabilities.
“This is my first visit to Bengaluru after the historic Operation Sindoor. It showed the world a confident and determined India. Our armed forces crossed the border, carried out a deep strike and forced Pakistan to back down. The operation was possible because of advanced technology and the Make in India initiative. The youth of Karnataka and Bengaluru played a key role in this,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister, Operation Sindoor demonstrated India’s ability to destroy terrorist bases several kilometres inside Pakistan and to weaken its support for terrorism in just a few hours.
The PM also compared the country’s rise with Bengaluru’s growth, noting the city’s importance in the global IT industry. “Bengaluru is a symbol of New India’s progress. The city has earned a place for India on the global IT map thanks to the skills and creativity of its people,” he said.
During his visit, PM Modi flagged off three new Vande Bharat trains, inaugurated the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro and laid the foundation stone for Metro Phase-3.
