New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering of nearly 30,000 members of the Indian diaspora at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Thursday. According to Sources quoted by reports, it is believed to be the largest event of its kind in Australia hosted by any leader.

The Indian community turned out in large numbers and welcomed Prime Minister Modi with great enthusiasm.
During his address, PM Modi highlighted the contribution of the Indian diaspora in strengthening the relationship between India and Australia. He also praised Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, saying that he wins the hearts of Indians whenever he speaks.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also addressed the gathering and referred to PM Modi as his “friend.” Speaking about the massive turnout, he said the Marvel Stadium has hosted many major events but had never seen a gathering like this before. He added that the enthusiasm inside the stadium reflects the growing partnership between Australia and India.
