Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the vibrant harvest festivals of India on Monday, participating in events to mark Sankranti, Pongal, and Lohri in the national capital. The festivities showcased the rich cultural traditions of India and brought together prominent personalities, ministers, and citizens.
At the residence of Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, PM Modi joined the Sankranti and Pongal celebrations, where he also lit the traditional Bhogi fire. Sharing his experience on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt wishes to the nation, describing the festival as a “celebration of gratitude, abundance, and renewal, deeply rooted in the agricultural traditions of our culture.”

The event saw the participation of Telugu cinema legend Chiranjeevi, badminton star P.V. Sindhu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and several Union ministers. A cultural program showcasing India’s diverse traditions added vibrancy to the celebration.
Later in the day, PM Modi also attended Lohri celebrations at Naraina Vihar in Delhi, where he was warmly received by attendees. The Prime Minister interacted with people gathered at the venue, exchanging pleasantries and soaking in the festive spirit.
