PM Modi visited landslide hit Wayanad on Saturday and carried out an aeriel survey of the disaster-hit areas of the north Kerala district.
The Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey of the areas where landslides wreaked havoc including places like Chooralmala, Mundakkai, and Punchirimattom hamlets aboard an Indian Air Force helicopter.
PM Modi was accompanied by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum and Natural Gas Suresh Gopi.
At least 200 people were killed and many others remain unaccounted for after landslides hit the Wayanad on July 30.
