PM Modi Congratulates Vietnam’s President To Lam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings to To Lam following his election as President of the Vietnam, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations.

Taking to social media platform X, Modi emphasized the strength of India-Vietnam ties and expressed optimism about their future cooperation.

“Heartiest congratulations to Mr. To Lam on his election as President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. I am confident that under his leadership, the time-tested friendship between our two countries will continue to grow from strength to strength. I look forward to working closely together to further deepen our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the progress and prosperity of our people and the region.”

India and Vietnam share a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with cooperation spanning areas such as trade, defence, and regional security. Modi’s message reflects New Delhi’s continued commitment to strengthening ties with Hanoi, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.
