New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin a six-day visit to France and Slovakia from June 13 to 18, focusing on bilateral cooperation, innovation, and global discussions at the G7 Summit.
During the first leg of the tour, PM Modi will travel to Nice, France, where he will meet French President Emmanuel Macron on June 14. The two leaders are expected to review the broad range of ties between India and France under their Special Global Strategic Partnership.
The leaders will also jointly launch the ‘Bharat Innovates’ event in Nice, bringing together leading startups and venture capital funds from India, France, and other countries. The event is being held as part of the India-France Year of Innovation.
PM Modi will also travel to Evian, France, to attend the G7 Summit on June 16 and 17.
From June 14 to 16, the Prime Minister will undertake a state visit to Slovakia at the invitation of Prime Minister Robert Fico. During the visit, he will hold talks with Fico, explore new areas of cooperation, and meet Slovak President Peter Pellegrini.
The visit will mark the first trip by an Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since the country’s independence in 1993.
