The Prime Minister said reforms are being introduced through a task force, fast-track measures and suggestions from states, as paper leaks have remained a challenge for both state and central governments for decades.
He also stressed the need for greater use of technology to protect students and improve the education system.
“Along with this, a paper mafia, a paper leaking gang, a gang that plays with the future of the country’s children will not be spared. There is also a need for strict laws. We took a bill to the Parliament.”
PM Modi said the legislation was discussed in detail by Members of Parliament before being passed by both Houses. He added that the approval of the bill marks an important step towards building a stronger and more reliable examination system.
