In a major intelligence breakthrough, Rajasthan Police have arrested a 34-year-old Punjab resident for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The accused, identified as Prakash Singh alias Badal from Ferozepur’s Bhamba Haji village, was detained near the Sadhuwali military area in Sri Ganganagar after his suspicious movements were reported on November 27.
According to officials, Badal had been secretly sharing photos and videos of sensitive military locations across Rajasthan, Punjab, and Gujarat with Pakistani handlers. These included visuals of army movements, bases, bridges, railway lines, and new construction near border areas.
He had reportedly been in constant touch with ISI operatives since the time of Operation Sindoor, using WhatsApp accounts created through OTPs obtained from other people’s numbers. The accounts were then accessed by his handlers to carry out espionage and other anti-national activities, for which Badal received monetary compensation.
The Border Intelligence Team recovered multiple chats with Pakistani numbers from his phone before transferring him to the Joint Interrogation Centre and later to Jaipur, where several agencies questioned him. Digital evidence confirmed his involvement in espionage. On December 1, a case under the Official Secrets Act, 1923, was registered at the Special Police Station in Jaipur, leading to his formal arrestTR
