On the eve of the Bihar Assembly election results, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday declared that the Mahagathbandhan alliance is set to form the next government in the state with a “clear and comfortable majority,” brushing aside exit poll predictions that favour the NDA.
Addressing a press conference in Patna, Yadav said his party has full faith in the people’s mandate and cautioned administrative officials against any undue influence during the counting process.
“We are completely confident of forming the government with a clear majority. Our workers are alert at every counting centre. If the administration repeats its 2020 mistake, acts unfairly, or takes orders from anyone, then the public will take care of it,” he asserted.

Tejashwi alleged that the BJP, fearing defeat, is attempting to manipulate public perception ahead of the results. He accused the party of “spreading propaganda” through select media outlets and sympathetic officials to project an image of victory.
“Certain BJP leaders, along with some compliant media and officials, have been trying to create a perception that the BJP is winning. But the reality is that the NDA is anxious and restless because they know their time in power is ending,” he said.

The RJD leader also claimed that his party has received credible intelligence inputs about potential irregularities during the vote counting process. According to him, there were reports of attempts to “delay the declaration of seats won by the Mahagathbandhan” while announcing NDA wins first to influence the narrative.
“We have been informed that a conspiracy is being planned to slow down the counting process and declare NDA seats first. Our candidates and workers are being vigilant to prevent any such manipulation,” Yadav alleged.
Earlier in the day, Tejashwi held a virtual meeting with RJD candidates and district-level leaders to discuss guidelines and preparedness for counting day. The meeting, sources said, focused on ensuring that party representatives remain alert throughout the counting process and promptly report any suspicious activities.
With both alliances expressing confidence and heightened political tension in Bihar, all eyes are now on November 14, when the votes will decide the state’s political future.
