Three held for murdering friend

Ghaziabad, Aug 22 (PTI) Three youths were arrested forallegedly killing their friend within the premises of anEidgah in Pasonda village, police said today. Wassem was killed on August 13 by his friends who slit histhroat with knives, Sahibabad SP Salman Taj Patil said. The trio, Irshad, Gulsher and Kaloo took away Waseem onthe pretext of repaying him Rs 1.5 lakh which Irshad hadborrowed from him, police said. Waseem was living in Irshad’s house and lent him a loan tostart some business. During the stay, Waseem tried to developillicit relations with Irshad’s wife to which he could nottolerate, they said. Around 20 days ago, Irshad chased him away from hishouse, police said. On August 13, the three along with Waseem were in aninebriated state after which they killed him by slashing hisneck with a sharp weapon. Police recovered two chopping knives from the accused.
