Echoing this sentiment, Nagpur MP Nitin Gadkari called for calm and restraint. “The city’s history is known for maintaining peace in such matters. I urge everyone not to believe in rumours and to maintain peace. Please do not come out onto the streets and cooperate with the law and order system,” he said. He also assured that the government would take strict action against those responsible for inciting violence.
