New Delhi: A week after Indian Air Force’s (IAF) AN-32 aircraft which went missing with 13 people on board, the wreckage of aircraft has been located north of Lipo in Arunachal Pradesh.
“The wreckage of the missing AN-32 was spotted today 16 Kms North of Lipo, North East of Tato, at an approximate elevation of 12000 ft, by the IAF Mi-17 Helicopter undertaking search in the expanded search zone,” Indian Air Force said on Tuesday.

“Efforts are now continuing to establish the status of occupants & establish survivors. Further details will be communicated as the recovery actions progress,” IAF added.
Earlier, IAF had announced a reward of ₹5 lakh for any credible information on the location of the aircraft.
The aircraft had taken off from Assam’s Jorhat on June 3rd, 2019.
