A video with claims that Dubai flooded again on March 5, 2025 has gone viral on social media.
This video is shared on Instagram with a caption: Dubai m phir hoi baarish (it’s raining again in Dubai). The reel has 1,606 likes and 1,488 shares. It’s being claimed that this is the situation in Dubai on March 5, 2025, and many are feared dead.

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FAKE.
Conducting a Reverse Image Search, NewsMobile found the video originating from Japan, where a massive earthquake caused the tsunami.

BBC News had updated a video 13 years back, titled: “Japan hit by tsunami after massive earthquake.”
The image seen in the viral reel matches with the news video.

Heavy rains also occurred on March 5, 2025, and the ICC Champions Trophy was held in Dubai. Bright sunshine greeted the teams when they played the first semifinal (India vs Australia) on March 4.
NewsMobile checked the weather forecast for March 5, and it showed bright sunshine.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the 2011 Japan tsunami clip has been falsely shared as recent flood-hit Dubai.
