Scanning the official website of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), we found that the last Junior Hockey World Cup was held in 2021, and it was won by Argentina. India had won the Junior Hockey World Cup in 2016.
We could not find any record of Junior Hockey World Cup organised in 2022.
Conducting a Reverse Image Search, we identified an article, titled: Independence Day 2018: Hima Das to Sakshi Malik, Indian sportspersons who waved the Tricolour high – in pics, published on Times Now, dated August 15, 2018.
One of the images in the article matches the viral picture and the description informs that the players in the image are Mandeep Singh and Harjeet Singh celebrating India’s win at the Junior Hockey World Cup in Lucknow in 2016.
Another news article by NDTV, dated December 18, 2016, and titled: India End 15-Year Wait, Defeat Belgium For 2nd Junior Hockey World Cup Title, carries an image which matches the viral picture. We could not find any credible news source about the Junior Hockey World Cup being held recently.
