A video showing a group attacking a man into a ditch is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim the mob beat up a BJP leader. Others have mocked the BJP, showing support for Congress for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
A Facebook user posted (archived link) the viral post with the following caption: भाजपा नेता ये गलत हो रहा है .. अबकी बार 400 लात – घुसा…… अबकी बार 400 लात घुस……… Vote for congress……..
(English: BJP leader, this is going wrong.. This time 400 kicks – entered… Vote for congress……..)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, the NM team traced a YouTube video, dated November 25, 2019, on the official channel of NDTV. According to the report, TMC workers reportedly roughed up the West Bengal BJP Vice President, Joy Prakash Majumdar, during the Karimpur by-poll.
Searching further, we came across a tweet from the same day from the official handle of the BJP condemning this act by the TMC workers. The video looks like a longer version of the viral clip, confirming that it has nothing to do with the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming a BJP leader was thrashed during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, is misleading.
