A video clip of a news bulletin by Hindi news channel ‘Aaj Tak’ is being shared on social media. The video shows people running away with yoga mats following International Yoga Day celebrations. June 21 is celebrated as International Yoga Day each year.
The post claims that the incident took place recently in Rohtak, Haryana.
“*योगा करने के बाद* से *भाजपाइयों ने लूट ली सारी चटाईयां, मैट व गद्दे।* भारत का यही चरित्र पूरे विश्व में हंसी का पात्र बनाता है। चटाई भी made in china चटाई लूटने वालों का कहना था वे यह सबक अपने राजा से सीखे हैं। *नँगे नहाएंगे क्या और निचोड़ेंगे क्या?” the post read.
(Translation: After doing Yoga, BJP people looted all the [yoga] mats and mattresses. This character of India makes the whole world laugh. Also, the mats are made in China. Mat looters said they learned this lesson from their king.)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found that the video is old.
The first thing we noticed is that in all the video clips used in the report, no one can be seen wearing face masks. It is unlikely that so many people would participate in an event without anyone wearing a mask in the middle of the pandemic.
We then ran a Reverse Image Search to look for the original ‘Aaj Tak‘ report. The longer version of the video was uploaded on their YouTube channel on June 21, 2019.
The viral clip can be seen at 4:20 min into the video.
According to the report, people looted the yoga mats from the venue where Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar had participated in the programme for International Day of Yoga in 2019.
A similar video report was also published on the YouTube channel of Amar Ujala in 2019.
The reports for the same can be seen here, here and here.
The same was tweeted by ANI too.
Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the video report is old and is being shared as a recent one to create a false narrative.
