FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be false.

Running the video keyframes through a Reverse Image Search, the NM team found the same footage in a video report of Editorji, dated October 29, 2021, with a title: “David Warner removes Coca-Cola  bottles during a press conference.” As per the report, Warner removed coke bottles from the table during a press conference after Australia’s T20 World Cup 2021 game vs Sri Lanka.

According to a report by Moneycontrol, dated October 29, 2021, Australian cricketer David Warner briefly removed two Coca-Cola bottles from the table in front of him before putting them back, linking to a similar event in 2020. by footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is to be noted that in June 2020, Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo had caused a stir, when he removed a pair of Coca-Cola bottles during a press conference, ahead of his team’s Euro 2020 match. This action resulted in a decrease in the brand’s shares. He then picked up a bottle of water and encouraged people to drink water instead of sugary drinks.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video is almost two years old and has nothing to do with the recent Israel-Palestine conflict.
