FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the viral picture, the NM team identified an article in the Times of Israel, dated May 17, 2021, with a title: IDF hits Hamas tunnels in massive strikes on Gaza as ceasefire pressure mounts. The picture matches exactly with the viral image, suggesting there were airstrikes at several locations in Gaza Strip. Given that the article was published in 2021, the image cannot be linked to the ongoing war between the countries.
Searching further, we came across similar articles in CNN and CNBC as well. The image used in these articles, too, matches with the viral picture, confirming that an old image is being used to spread misinformation about the ongoing war.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post is misleading.
