A Facebook user posted the viral post with the following caption on the video: आप सभी किसान भाई देख सकते किस तरह हमारे किसान भाइयों पर अत्याचार हो रहे हैं पुलिस किस प्रकार हमारे किसान भाइयों पर अत्याचार कर रही है किसान एकता जिंदाबाद जय जवान जय किसान

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team identified a YouTube video on the official channel of Voice of America, dated November 27, 2020. The video matches exactly with the viral clip saying that police fired tear gas and used water cannons on November 27, 2020, as thousands of farmers from northern India marched towards Delhi to protest against the farmers’ bill that was passed in the Parliament.
Searching further, we found the same video published by Associated Press on the same day corroborating the claims made by VOA above.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show policemen beating protesting farmers amidst the ongoing farmers’ protest, is misleading.
