Against this backdrop, a viral video showing two men saving a freezing deer wandering on the road with its eyes, mouth, and ears covered in snow is doing the rounds on social media. Users have shared the video linking it to US winter storms.

Conducting a Google Keyword Search, we found a YouTube video, dated March 4, 2021, titled: Frozen deer saved by locals in Kazakhstan, published on the official channel of Press Television — a news channel based out of Austria.
The video matches the viral clip and the description of the YouTube video informs that the incident happened on February 25, 2021, and the Kazakhstan residents who saved the deer are named: Abylaikhan Kuandyk and Nurzhan Makayev.
