Areas, including Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Jharkhand, and Odisha, are expected to experience heatwave conditions from June 11 to 15, according to the weather office.
Against this context, a video, depicting a broken tap spraying water directly onto a passing train, is being extensively circulated on social media. It is claimed that the “Railways have implemented new measures for passenger comfort due to the heat”.

Conducting a Reverse Image Search of the viral video keyframes, the NM team spotted many video stories and reports across various media outlets, including India Today, India TV, NDTV, and Firstpost, dated October 27, 2022. According to a report in India TV, the viral video is from Mumbai.
We also found the video in question on the YouTube channel of Mirror Now, with a title: “Passengers At Railway Station Gets Free Shower From Broken Tap”, dated October 23, 2022.
Hence, it is evident that the 2022 video has gone viral with false claims.
